Ingredients: Pure Hydrolysed Collagen (Type I, Bovine), Buffered Vitamin C (calcium ascorbate), LactoSpore® Bacillus Coagulans.

Stir into 100 ml water or juice. Blend into smoothies. Mix into oats, soup, stews or dips. Add into tea or coffee. Use in baking.

Take one serving daily or use as required to help meet your daily nutritional requirements. Alternatively, use as recommended by your nutritional advisor. Seek advice from a healthcare practitioner before use if you have any pre-existing medical conditions. Discontinue use and consult with a doctor if any adverse reactions occur. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, un-opened with seals intact on Supplements or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item so that we can evaluate the issue and correct it.

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

Subscriptions

When you purchase a subscription you'll receive repeat deliveries. These are based on the subscription duration and frequency that you select. Currently, we do monthly subscriptions on certain products. You can cancel anytime.

Where your Order is a “Subscribe and Save” purchase (a Subscription, with you being a Subscriber), every 30 days , we will deliver to you the Product purchased respectively until you cancel your Subscription. Please note that by purchasing a 30 day Subscription, you acknowledge that the Subscription has an initial and recurring payment feature and you accept responsibility for all recurring charges prior to cancellation.

Your payment details will be stored securely and you'll be charged for each of these deliveries, unless you choose to pay in advance.

Subscriptions  auto-renew at the end of their duration. If you don’t want to renew a subscription you can cancel it via your account or the link in the email.

What is Collagen?

Collagen is the most abundant protein in the body and is a key constituent of all connective tissues. Collagen is a vital building block of our bodies including skin, hair nails, bones and joints. Often our bodies cannot synthesise enough collagen on their own and modern day diets are unfortunately not typically as rich in collagen as that of our ancestors. Our body’s natural collagen production typically starts to decline in our mid-20s, and continues declining with age at an estimated rate of +/- 1% per year. It decreases even more in women after menopause. Our body’s natural collagen production is also hampered by other factors such as smoking, high sugar diets and excessive UV exposure. Supplementing your diet with Beauty Gen collagen can help solve the collagen deficit problem, thereby supporting healthy skin, hair, nails, connective tissue and joints and muscle recovery.

Where should I store my Beauty Gen Collagen?

We recommended storing in a cool, dark place, away from moisture.

Is collagen heat stable?

Yes, the collagen peptides in our Beauty Gen products are perfectly heat stable and can be added to hot drinks as well as used to nutritionally fortify cooked foods.

Is the probiotic and vitamin C heat stable?

We have selected a very unique probiotic (LactoSpore) that is extremely heat stable and has even been tested to retain viability during baking for up to 20–25 minutes at 205 °C. Vitamin C, however, tends to start losing some potency when temperatures exceed 70°C for extended periods. Coffee, as a reference, is typically consumed at 60-70°C, as is most hot food. Naked Collagen +PLUS is thus best added to food or drink on serving and not during boiling or where extended cooking times are employed.

Is collagen safe for breastfeeding or expecting moms?

Collagen is a pure protein and 100% natural food ingredient, and is therefore generally recognised as safe as a dietary supplement. That being said, we always recommend that pregnant or breastfeeding moms consult with their healthcare professional before adding nutritional supplements to their diets.

Is Beauty Gen collagen hydrolysed?

Yes, our collagen is hydrolysed, and therefore easily digested and absorbed. It is suitable for adding to hot or cold foods and beverages without clumping.

How long should I take collagen? Should I stop taking it after a certain length of time?

We believe that collagen is best consumed on an ongoing basis, as part of one’s daily healthy eating plan, for best long term results. There is no need to supplement on and off collagen as is the practice with certain other nutritional supplements.

When can I expect to see results?

Unlike drugs, nutrients generally do not have rapid effects. Your body uses the collagen in your diet to manufacture new body tissue on a daily basis and typically takes a few months to regenerate completely new body cells and brand new tissue such as hair, skin, nails, muscle and connective tissue. So, whilst you may begin to notice some benefits of collagen supplementation within the first few weeks, its full benefits may only begin to be realised after 2-3 months of regular daily supplementation. These benefits will continue to be enhanced over a 6-12 month period, at which point physiological dynamics would have seen a completely new you being “regenerated”.

How many grams of collagen should I take per day?

We typically recommend supplementing with between 10-20 g per day depending on your lifestyle and diet. 10 g of supplemental collagen per day, taken on a consistent basis, is generally sufficient to provide great results.

Can I supplement with Beauty Greens or another product at the same time as Naked Collagen? Or do I need to alternate products?

You can certainly take both products simultaneously or on the same day, depending on what you are looking for that day. If you are looking for a tasty stand-alone drink, or for an extra healthy skin boost, our Beauty Greens contains collagen plus organic superfoods, vitamin C, omega-3s and probiotics. However, you do not need to take both products to gain the benefits of collagen supplementation.

What is the difference between Naked Collagen and Naked Collagen +PLUS?

Naked Collagen contains pure hydrolysed collagen peptides whereas our Naked Collagen +PLUS contains collagen peptides plus added vitamin C and probiotics.

Can I take Beauty Gen products if I have a medical condition or I am on other medication?

Whilst Beauty Gen formulations are all-natural, with no added chemicals or harmful additives, we like to advise our customers to consult with their healthcare advisor before adding any new nutritional supplement to their diet.

Is collagen suitable for diabetics?

Current recommendations for diabetics generally advise that daily sugar intake should not exceed 10% of daily energy intake. Scientific recommendations typically further advise the need for this percentage to ideally be further reduced to 5%, which equates to 25 g of sugars in a 2000 kCal/day diet. With the aforementioned in mind, Beauty Gen collagen products are all very low in sugar and thus well suited for inclusion in low carbohydrate, diabetic-friendly diets. That being said, diabetics should always factor the product's carbohydrate and sugar content into their daily diet plan and continue to regularly monitor their blood glucose levels to ensure that it is maintained within the recommended range.

How do you sweeten your products?

Our Beauty Gen collagen powders that are flavoured and sweetened, such as those in our Beauty Greens range, are naturally sweetened with stevia plant extract.
